Prototype Workshop 2.

After a break for Christmas we regrouped based on the kind of work that we wished to produce. I am currently working as part of ‘The Shadow Collective’ and we are Sam Dury, Ruby Hinton, Beth Jackman & myself. As a collective we decided that we really wanted to work with light and during a prototype workshop we produced a light that was in the shape of a jellyfish. We had limited materials so had to use what we could find in our studio. This was a great workshop and proved to us that we didn’t need to spend hours or days producing a rough. We hung the lights in one of the lockers in our studio to add a new way of viewing what we had made. We all used the same materials but used a slightly different method as we liked the idea of our sculptures being unique; this is something that we hope to continue while we work as a collective.
